Ever since he took over as president of the Tamilnadu Badminton Association, badminton in Tamilnadu has seen an exponential growth both in terms of the game becoming more popular and TN players achieving at the national and international level too.
Our dynamic president is also the treasurer of the Badminton Association of India, an acknowledgement of Tamilnadu's importance in the country's governing body for badminton.
He has introduced an awards scheme to reward and honor the achievements of Tamilnadu players, further encouraging the players to reach greater laurels!

Mr. Arunachalam, the calm and composed General Secretary of TNBA, has played a key role in the effective day-to-day administration of the association. Since assuming office in 2014, he has expanded the number of state tournaments from just 6–8 to 18, reflecting his commitment to the sport’s growth.
He also serves as an Executive Committee Member of the Badminton Association of India and contributes to three national-level committees:
- Tournament Committee
- Age Fraud Committee
- Finance Committee
Mr. Arunachalam has been instrumental in streamlining TNBA’s operations and enhancing coordination with district associations. His focus on innovation and technology has made tournament organization more efficient and accessible. Driving TNBA to the next level remains his clear and unwavering goal.
